Rare antique Ceylonese wardrobe / almirah by N. Porolis Fernando & Co. Ltd. – House Furnishers, Colombo, Kandy & Bandarawela. Large period wooden wardrobe featuring beautiful carved floral detailing, an ornamental crown and crest, full-length mirror, storage compartments and lower drawers. The original brass maker's plaque is still attached and clearly reads: N. Porolis Fernando & Co. Ltd. House Furnishers Colombo, Kandy & Bandarawela N. Porolis Fernando & Co. was a historic Ceylonese house-furnishing company, making this an interesting piece for antique furniture collectors and collectors of old Sri Lankan / Ceylon furniture.
